Digital scan impressions

Nuvola accepts impressions from all types of scanners.

The scan must be precise and contain the whole palate in case of palatal bar. It must be taken together with the occlusion position of the arches - phonetic bites are not accepted. 

ACCEPTED formats:

• Single digital STL files format of upper and lower arch oriented in occlusion. Upload each of the two STL files in the dedicated box.
• Sent via Cloud. If you own a Carestream or 3Shape scanner, you can pair with the lab "Nuvola aligners" or "GEO" and send files. Our lab's email address is [email protected] - notify Customer support if it's your first time doing it. If you are using an iTero scanner, pair it with "G.E.O S.R.L. - NUVOLA". Our lab ID number is 200092.

NOT accepted:

• Folders containing STL files. Instead of the folder, upload the single STL file.
• Bite/Occlusion files: it is already saved in the arches' files by the scanner automatically.
• PLY or other formats besides STL.

In case of technical issues with STL impressions, send the STL files via e-mail at [email protected]. You can also use www.wetransfer.com to send heavy files for free.

Are your scans non-compliant?

Delete them and upload them again.

Make sure they are two single STL files - their upload weight should be at least 12MB each (if 0MG that means that they are not uploaded or maybe only present in your cloud) - not folders or Dropbox/Drive files.
